Bacon and Sausage McGriddle Muffins

if you’ve been following me for a while, you know that sweet recipes are few and far between. But surprise surprise pregnancy has brought out a new side of me. And from one of my many pregnancy cravings (maple syrup), behold, this recipe is born. ⁣

I'm so glad these came out how I envisioned them. The maple is not seriously overpowering but the sweet touch is 👌🏻 and if someone tells you it's overkill to dunk your Mcgriddle Muffins into additional maple syrup, then ignore that person. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life. ⁣No I don't know the macros, they will vary anyways depending on brands of ingredients you use. ⁣

Bacon Sausage Mcgriddle Muffins⁣

1 pound breakfast sausage ⁣
1/2 cup bacon crumbles (I use Costco brand)⁣
1/4 cup SF maple syrup (I use @choczero brand)⁣
2 cups almond flour (I used Costco brand)⁣
2 teaspoons baking powder⁣
1 cup shredded cheese⁣
1/2 tsp salt⁣
4 eggs⁣

Brown the breakfast sausage. Once browned add the bacon crumbles until heated through and crisped up. Pour maple syrup over the top of the meat, stir and allow to cool. While meat is cooling: combine almond flour, baking powder, cheese, salt, and eggs. Add cooled meat and combine. Divide equally into a greased 12 muffin tin. Bake for 20 minutes at 350°. Dunk in maple syrup if you're extra like me
